ABOUT JONATHAN NORRIS

Jonathan Norris is a seasoned nonprofit professional with more than 25 years of experience supporting and advancing some of Tennessee’s most impactful cultural and community organizations. He currently serves as Chief Development Officer at the Frist Art Museum, where he leads strategic fundraising, membership growth, and donor engagement initiatives in support of the museum’s mission and 25th-anniversary vision.

Jonathan’s non-profit career began with support roles at the Nashville Predators Foundation and the Land Trust for Tennessee, early experiences that grounded his commitment to service and community impact. He went on to spend over seventeen years at the Nashville Symphony, progressing through key administrative and development positions, including Chief Development Officer, where he helped grow the annual fund from $3.1 million to $8.9 million and strengthened donor participation and stewardship.

Recognized for building strong, collaborative teams and fostering environments where people can do their best work, Jonathan focuses on creating partnerships and systems that ensure the institutions he serves remain vibrant, accessible, and community-centered.
